The Pilot G2 is a superbly-smooth writing rollerball featuring a retractable gel ink refill. The vividly-coloured ink is acid-free and archival-safe. The clear barrel features a comfortable rubber grip.

Why?
Thickness of ink causes smudges when our hands touch it. Also, ink seeps though thin papers. Not recommended for official documents.

I actually find the Pilot G2 tends to get a little spotty in the ink department with prolonged use. I have a lot of problems with the ink not coming out so smoothly after a few months, so I make a point never to use them. As far as Pilot pens go, the hi-tec c pens are much better.
Most Targets now sell a 0.38 G-2.
